Welcome to Bemm River,
Located between the prominent towns of Orbost and Mallacoota in far East Gippsland, Bemm River’s local CFA (Country Fire Authority) fire station and Emergency Helipad has become the feature of my first custom scenery, with numerous custom scenery objects bringing the main features of the scenery to life and closer to reality.
I chose to put my time and effort into working on this little scenery due to there being up-to-date reference imagery from 3 directions (thanks to street view) as well as other reference images of standout features such as the recently painted murals on the water tank and storage container.
In November 2014 the 3-bay, purpose-built, CFA Station was newly built and opened to succeed the old CFA shed which is now the local men's Shed.
This scenery is helicopter friendly with a single concrete emergency helipad situated in the clearing next to the Fire Station. The helipad was built 3 years after the new CFA in 2017 on a parcel of unused crown land. Due to the remote nature of the town, locals felt the need for a purpose-built emergency helipad and evacuation point.
In Sim: Fictional ICAO code: YBRFH, the helipad consists of two start points. A helipad (Running start) and a parking spot (Cold and Dark start). Via the world map, select Bemm River CFA Helipad and set as departure, the menu above will default to the helipad running start, if you want Cold and Dark start, select the menu and Parking 1 Dock GA option. Both start points align exactly with each other on the helipad.
A neat feature that I have added to the helipad is the ability to request a fuel truck for refuelling. This is something that obviously can be done in real life, request or organise a fuel truck to be available in areas where aviation fuel isn't available. I have hidden its parking spot out of sight of the helipad. Request Fuel: (SHIFT-F) The truck should come into sight within 40 seconds and be at the helipad within a minute.
If not, you unfortunately have a scenery that has a bad Airport Services.spb that is likely affecting all airport services globally. Finding that add-on/s and removing it should resolve the problem.
The majority of my custom scenery components have LODs to aid in performance. I’m not a pro however, so performance may still be taxing on lower-end systems. There are a total of 37 custom objects representing the main features such as the CFA Sation, water tanks, signs, hazardous powerlines, fenced garden bed, sheds and fuel tank amongst other smaller items like the bollards.
Besides my scenery objects, I have utilised some other common model libraries to bring extra life and clutter to the scenery:

Thankyou to the above developers for all the work and effort they have put into these great scenery libraries, they are invaluable for adding both minor and major details to many sceneries around the world!
REQUIRED!

Due to very poor coverage in the default Bing satellite imagery and data, the free level of Google Map Enhancement is essential for this scenery to look its best. The scenery is mostly aligned to the "Bing Maps (Latest)" option, without this, the default landscape is lacking any detailed imagery and shows large portions of older style Vector/Land Class coverage.
If flying in this area, I recommend having both Mallacoota and Orbost Airports installed:

Any issues relating to the scenery itself, please send me a polite direct message and I’ll aim to help out.
Also, there is conflicting satellite imagery around the shape, size and markings of the helipad. If anyone can shed some light and has reference images of the helipad itself, I can make amendments in an update!
Lastly, any donations would be greatly appreciated! Some of my custom models had texture work done in Substance Painter, which doesn't come cheap outside the trial period. Any funds will aid in justifying a continued subscription and aid in my custom asset creation!
Thanks,
Andrew
