FSTrAk is a modern flight tracker and logbook for MSFS.

FSTtAk aims to be a no-frills, install-and-let-it-run experience - as it requires no manual intervention. FSTrAk monitors your simulator silently and will detect when a flight is started, track it on a map, and persist it to a local database when it is complete.

Installation

Unzip the file and run the installer.

Option (default) to save only complete flights - i.e. flight ended in parking states, with engines off and parking breaks, after having flown

Display bearing/distance to a designated point on the map

I really like this app. My first flight with it went very well. The next time I flew, it did not recognize that I was in an active flight. I tried pushing several buttons with no success. Any suggestions or help with this as I want to use it. I like it better than Volanta. Thanks

Many Thanks for this excellent tool. I miss only a wind indexer (direction,speed) on the live flight tracking moving map. Another old program has this feature and it can be very helpfull especially when i fly traffic pattern lessons etc. Nevertheless a wonderful addon

BTW Wind, temp and pressure Data in the logbook regarding landing would be very welcome

I thought about that too. I will be looking into this - in theory, it should, I couldn't make it work, but its possible that my work laptop is blocking it because of some IT policy. I need to get another pc to try it with.

Nice tool! seems not to log helicopter flights, perhaps because MSFS does'n't account for take-offs and landing for helicopters?

I actually made it support helicopter flights. I tested with the R44 and Bell 206.

What Helicopter are you using?

I will look at it again. There are a few differences with helicopter switching to in-flight immediately from ready state - maybe there is a race condition there.

Another may be that the helicopter doesn't have parking brakes, but I think I handled that.

Thanks, I'll consider that. Been thinking about themes anyway.

I will also look at color coding the altitude like adsb do, but that requires a data model change.

I'll give it a crack.Looks like a cross between the Asobo VR map with log entries. My log book stuffed up last year and never came back even after several clean reinstalls. Fonts fine with me. Cheers for the work.

I'll add information later on where it's saved. It's a true database, so it should easily support thousands of flights.

Its just the same font i chose for the logo whe. I drew it.

I may add an option to change it.
