Good news! This plugin makes MSFS more accessible for visually impaired people.
This plugin is launched beside the simulator and allows you to receive voice announcements on different parameters of your aircraft, such as your airspeed, altitude, heading and even your radio altitude (altitude relative to the ground)
Another function even allows you to know your vertical speed (variometer) by means of music notes: the higher the sound, the faster you go up and vice versa if you go down

At this moment, the program is available in French and English. A function also allows you to change the language "on the fly". 

You are just few steps to enjoy a more accessible MSFS:
0. Unzip this file and put it anywhere. No need to be in your community folder.

1. run "test_your_joystick" program to find the buttons on your joystick that you want to use with Butler-Fly

2. Modify the file Helper.py and map your prefered buttons to Butler-Fly events (in the section "dictionnaries for joysticks known events")

Be careful when modifying this file. It is written in Python and may crash the program if you add symbols that do not belong to its synthaxis

3. Run the Butler-Fly program (preferably when the simulator is ready...)

Hey people!
I'm thrilled to announce you that Butler-Fly version 2 is now available!

Among the new functionalities (callable from a joystick button), you will find:
* Announce wind (speed and direction) from aircraft even on the ground
* Announce autopilot heading
* Announce autopilot altitude
* Announce nearest town / city (OpenCageData based info)
* Announce horizon info: bank angle, pitch angle (positive values meen an angle for pitch up / bank to the right)

Butler-Fly now supports the use of Joystick hats to let you more choice for your imput buttons . Have a look in Helper.py to see how to map the commands with your joysticks hats.

What's more, joystick detection is now done dynamically. By the way, don't hesitate to use the "TestYourJoystick.bat" program provided in the installation directory to check the layout of your buttons/hats. However, you will still have to change your commands mappings on the "Helper.py" file.

SUPER HIGHLIGHTS
What really changed is the sound variometer system. Now, you are able to hear not only your aircrafts airspeed, but also its bank angle. The system now ballances the sound to the left or to the right, indicating if, for example, you're flat and stable during your approaches :)

In general, I made my best to improve some little bugs and to improve the overall stability, like every developper says for such an update. It can still happen that I would missed something. In such case just don't hesitate to ask, I will be glad to assist you when needed.
