Hello Folks
Here we are again, and so fast too! Next on the list needs no introduction. I was going to upload these individually but I figured that because they are from the same family they should go together.
Its number 2 and 3 on the list together double. I refer to of course the Dornier Do 335 (Pfeil) And the Dornier DO 335 Trainer (Ameisenbär)
These were both designed by Helija on Sketchfab so a big thank you the guy.
As with any free model, alot of work went into these. Main issue is the speed but there are no twin engine prop that will give you 400knots. And frankly I dont think it will ever get there unless there is someone out there who can do that and help out.
With some luck, I did manage to get it to 260knots from 180 so that a fair increase. If you go above 260, alarm bells will ring so keep it just below that.
A heavy fighter built by Dornier for Germany during World War II. The two-seater trainer version was called Ameisenbär ("anteater"). The Pfeil's performance was predicted to be better than other twin-engine designs due to its unique push-pull configuration and the lower aerodynamic drag of the in-line alignment of the two engines. It was Germany's fastest piston-engined aircraft of World War II. The Luftwaffe was desperate to get the design into operational use, but delays in engine deliveries meant that only a handful were delivered before the war ended.

If anyone has trouble with the engines starting from cold & dark, try putting your mouse cursor over the two red switches next to the fuel cutoffs, and then spinning your mouse wheel very fast ...

Enjoying this plane very much, thank you 😊
Would be great to have fixes for sound and lighting.

Great aeroplane except for the spinner. Could you replace it with the one from your FW 190 that is much more like the original ?

Well done, George! Keep up the good work!

it would be a really good job if the vertical control plane was like the original!!!! https://aviatika.hu/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Do-335_115-1024x572.jpg

I appreciate your aircraft - good job. How do I get the canopies to close though?

Great job and I know you'll continue to refine this. Thanks for the contribution to the community.

Omg! 3 new aircraft in one week, you're spoiling us 😊 Thank you so much!
Edit:/ Installed both, only the Pfeil shows up, no Ameisenbär. I'm guessing they have the same config files, and they duplicate, so only one shows up.
Super easy fix, go to the Armeisenbär aircraft config file, and where it says:
[FLTSIM.0]
Title="DORNIER DO 335"
Change it to
[FLTSIM.0]
Title="DORNIER DO 335 Trainer"
Shows up just fine.

Yeah I have sorted that thank for pointing that out. It is the same aircraft and used the same cfg file but sometimes one misses the obvious

とても素晴らしい塗装の航空機をありがとうございます。次の点を修正すると更に良くなると思います。1Ameisenbärを表示する。2 照明を点灯できるようにする。3 フラップが作動するようにする。
Thank you for such a wonderfully painted aircraft. I think it would be even better if the following points were fixed. Display 1 Ameisenbär on MSFS. 2 Allow the lights to turn on. 3 Allow the flaps to operate.

If you download it again they should both show up now. The flaps like time I checked did work but I will have a look.

The trainer version is the same as the single pilot version. Tried installing them separately and they are both the same models. Camera views need some work, still liked flying this plane. I have your Hawker Hurricane & BF-109 and they are both great and I still fly them. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Of course thye are the same plane. They have to be. The trainer is was used to train pilots on the Pfeil. Thast why I put them together. Let people decide which one or both to put in the game.
