A collection of 20 heliports in Nova Scotia, in Atlantic Canada. This includes all heliports listed at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airports_in_Nova_Scotia except for Shearwater CYAW, which is included in world update XI. All heliports include a windsock, and most heliports include a ramp on the helipad itself, for cold and dark procedures. Lighting should be accurate for CDY5, CNG2, CEH9, CIW2, CHQE, and CHS7. All other cases are an educated guess for now.
I will continue to work on this scenery to improve the scenery around many heliports. Progress on this will depend on your input: if you have any photos of helipads in Nova Scotia, I would be thrilled to learn about it. Lack of precise information is the most limiting factor in scenery development. Please send any suggestions or corrections to [email protected].
Trfsto's Windy Things is needed for many windsocks: https://flightsim.to/file/14024/windy-things
The scenery uses a PBR texture from Poliigon.com.
Thank you for doing this! I had a lot of fun tonight flying a simulated EHS patient transfer from Truro to the QEII by flying CYHZ - CEH9 - CHQE - CYHZ. All went well and I plan to try out a few more tomorrow. I did notice that the skids sink a bit on the QEII and IWK helipads but the ground level ones are ok.
I was looking around Amherst and noticed the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre appears to have a landing pad but I couldn't find any other information about it online?
One other thought, the default Shearwater doesn't have any landing pads, only the old out of service runway is available if you were interesting in making some of the visible landing pads usable.
Thanks again for your work.

Hello Regis. Thanks for your reply, I am glad you like the scenery. Yes, the helicopter sinks a bit in at the two elevated heliports. It was the first time I created an elevated runway, I will look into how to fix this. QE2 and IWK are first on the list to be improved since, close up, the photogrammetry does not look too appealing.
Thanks for bringing the Amherst hospital to my attention. I also could only find it on satellite images, and the marking seems outdated. Maybe it has been decommissioned?
Regarding Shearwater: yes, the default scenery is rather basic and the photogrammetry looks not nice. However, I have no information how Shearwater operates. I read the runways can be used for instrument approaches, but I do not know how helicopters would taxi, and where to. If I can get a better idea about how they operate, I would love to improve it.
