An updated version of this scenery package is included in my new Bay Area Bridges bundle, along with all my other previously released bridge scenery packages for the area and some other extras.
The Dumbarton Bridge is the shortest and southernmost of the highway bridges that span San Francisco Bay. It carries California State Route 84 from Menlo Park to Fremont with 3 lanes in each direction, as well as a separated bike/pedestrian lane on its south side. Many typical arrival patterns into San Francisco International Airport pass over the bridge.
Features
- Hand-modeled recreation of the Dumbarton Bridge and the toll plaza some distance east of the bridge itself, as well as the Dumbarton Pier on the Fremont end of the bridge. Includes collision mesh for the bridge and substructure.
- PBR materials used
- LOD models optimized
- Added night lights to the bridge (roadway lights as well as marine warning lights, custom-made in Blender)
- Some terraforming clean-up along the bridge ends and the long stretch between the bridge and toll plaza.
New in update 2.0
- Numerous improvements to model geometry, including adding the metal railings along the south side of the bridge
- Overhaul of texturing and materials, now using PBR materials for most surfaces. Also added roadway striping.
- Roadway lighting (originally using MSFS-standard light objects) is now configured and placed as part of the Blender model, which should help with pop-in and/or disappearing of lights at long range. Not much I can do for pop-in of the roadway lights along the landside of the bridge, which are part of the default scenery.
- Added simplified collision mesh for the bridge and columns
- Various terraforming improvements
- Re-compiled using most recent SDK

How To Donate
If you enjoy this addon or my other scenery addons, please consider using the PayPal link below or on my profile page to donate. I make scenery addons for the fun of it, not specifically looking to monetize my work, but keep in mind that putting these sceneries together requires a significant investment of time, effort, and research, and every bit helps.

Edit: After the update the bridge shows up at the absolutely perfect distance, and also lights up very nicely. Bravo!

Another nice work, thanks!Same issue as with your Hayward bridge tho: it would be great to have the night lightning visible from greater distances:https://i.imgur.com/0NJZmpp.jpgTheWhiteArcades author
This is addressed in the new update. I've now placed the lights as part of the Blender model, so they should now be visible as long as the model is visible.
