LTFM Istanbul Airport, Turkey   v.1.0.1

INSTRUCTIONS

1- For a clean installation you need to download version 1.0.1a from this page and extract the contained "argaeus-ltfm-istanbul" 
folder into your Community folder.
2-    For base imagery you have 2 options but use only ONE of them:
    a) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aNPbrZZSehhXtaD9tDWdq0vzn1D883KU/view?usp=sharing - (outdated but "matching" base imagery)
    b) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vgQILCVQbGB7dwZ_ELZAXI3uhewmL_xS/view?usp=sharing - (more recent and realisticly coloured 
    but not exactly matching base imagery)

    Extract the contained folder into your Community folder (either "argaeus-ltfm-aerial" or "argaeus-tayakadin-ltfm-istanbul" folder 
    must be used at any given time).

If you face problems, my advice is to 
    a) Delete "...\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes" folder
    b) Delete ROLLINGCACHE.CCC file
and start up your sim.

If you still face problems please lower your graphics settings and try again. Still problems: DELETE the package and wait for ASOBO to
include it in the sim. I have been using this scenery both with my laptop (6 GB VRAM 1060 MaxQ medium settings) and my desktop (12 GB VRAM 
3060 RTX high settings) without crashes whatsoever.

You need an AIRAC subscription to select SID/STAR/ILS etc until ASOBO includes them in theirs.

IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN 1 YEAR AND WITH THE EXPERIENCES THAT WE'VE EARNED, WE ARE NOW ABLE TO TARGET THE ISSUES DIRECTLY

THIS PACKAGE INCLUDES MORE THAN 1000 GROUND MARKINGS AS PROJECTED MESH AND SINCE THIS AREA HAS NOT BEEN DEFINED AS AN AIRPORT BY ASOBO, THE SIM CANNOT ADAPT THE PRIORITY IN TERMS OF LOD. THAT WAS THE MAIN REASON FOR LAGS, CTD'S ETC..

THAT'S WHY WE HAVE STARTED TO WORK ON AN UPDATE WHICH WILL COVER
-REMODELLED TERMINAL AND SOME SURROUNDING AREA
-REDUCED AMOUNT OF PROJECTED MESH
-ACCURATE SLOPE PROFILES

AS WE'VE BEEN EXPERIENCED, WE ARE NOT GOING TO RUSH FOR THIS UPDATE SINCE EVERY WORLD UPDATE MAY AFFECT OUR WORK AND PUSH US TO START FROM THE BEGINNING.

OUR MAIN GOAL IS TO CREATE THE MOST ACCURATE AND QUALIFIED WORK WITH THE MINIMUM BUGS POSSIBLE (EVENTHOUGH WE CREATE THE PROJECT WITHOUT ANY ISSUES, UPDATES MAY AFFECT THE WORK WE'VE DONE)

BRIEFLY, THIS PROJECT IS NOT DISCONTINUED. HOWEVER, IT WILL BE PUBLISED WHENEVER IT GIVES THE BEST IN TERMS OF BOTH VISUAL AND PERFORMANCE

Here it is, finally! Our second project for MSFS 2020 and this time it is enormous!
This rendition of the scenery is a conversion of our X-Plane 11 (WIP) scenery and we decided that we shouldslow down with the X-Plane 11 version and concentrate more on the MSFS 2020 platform as -unfortunately- LTFM is not included in the simulator even as a default airport. 
Mind you, this is NOT a finished project BY ANY MEANS but we decided to share it as "open beta" so that people enjoy their flights in and out of Istanbul in MSFS 2020. Everyone should know that we are aware of the missing features and we will be working on them as the time goes by (and pressure is eased). I am sure most of the simmers will be satisfied even with this "incomplete" version. We did our best to match all objects  with their modellingand placements. Obviously there are some duplicate to fill up empty spaces.

IMPORTANT:

This scenery is NOT to be used in ANY type of COMMERCIAL simulators and the only way for this to happen is to obtain our written consent after making a minimum donation of €2000 (Twothousand %00 or equivalent in local currency) to : LOSEV Leukemia Foundation for Children.

For those who intend to use this scenery in their personal computers for their personal joy, it is free ofcharge but they can also make ANY amount of donation they wish to make to the same foundation mentioned above.Based on the information in the website, all credit cards with 3D secure payment can be used.

We do not need money for a coffe or a pint of beer but the charity needs it to treat those kids.
