KASH - Boire Field, Nashua is located in beautiful Southern New Hampshire, and Asobo definitely got the feel of the area right. It's a wonderful place to fly, located just south of Mt. Monadnock, centrally located between Cape Cod and the islands and the lakes regions of New Hampshire and Maine, so there's lots of interesting places to fly and plenty of hamburgers and ice cream to be eaten at a wide variety of airports all around.
I learned to fly here in the mid '90's, back when it used to be one of the busiest small airports in the Northeast, if not the country. At the time Daniel Webster College ran a flight school out of Nashua, which was great for learning how to fly in high traffic airports.
Locally there's some cool airports to check out, such as Silver Ranch (KAFN) over by Mt Monadnock, Brookline (NH16), Pepperell (26MA) (I'll probably redo this airport as it's the local sky diving location, (maybe figure out how to add that comment to the ATIS for the airport? "Be aware of Sky Diving operations at Pepperell"...)), Keene, Skyhaven, Hanscom, the Cape and Islands ( Nantucket (KACK), Provincetown (KPVC), Martha's Vineyard (KMVY) and more). A really nice flight is from KASH to the other airport I've released on Lake Winnipesaukee, Lakes Region Airport (69NH). It's a half hour flight with some decent geography, especially up in the Lakes Region/White Mountains. Alton Bay on the south end of Lake Winnipesaukee has ice operations in the winter time. For a longer flight, check out KRKD in Rockland on the shore of Maine, home of the Owl's head transportation museum. I used to volunteer there in the summer during their events driving people across the airport to the museum.
To install this scenery, if you have my previous version, delete it. Then just copy scenery-nh-flyingscool-kash directory contained in this zip-file into your Community directory.
Besides the libraries listed in the dependencies for this download, you'll also need the FISD Object Library you can download here. You'll also want to install the (free) UK2000 object library you can find in the Marketplace for the beacon tower.
This scenery includes an airport specific Services file that changes the types of aircraft to some degree that will show up at parking spots, and reduces the amount of people walking around depending on the type of plane.
I've also included a Living World Config file to reduce the types of vehicles that roam GA airports in a separate package you choose to install or not install: z_scenery-flyingscool-livingworld-medapt. I got rid of the large Pushback, the Fire trucks, the Buses, and made the pushback vehicle the tug and things like that. The issue is, this will affect all airports in Northern North America, since Asobo doesn't let us change the Living World config on an airport by airport basis like they allow us to modify the Services. To take advantage of this if those vehicles annoy you also install the z_scenery-flyingscool-livingworld-medapt package in your Community directory. If you don't want to affect your large airports in Northern North America, don't install the package, or remove it if you did install it.
And don't forget to check out my livery packages for planes out of KASH... Daniel Webster C-172's, East Coast Aero Club Warrior (I plan on doing some more of these), two C152's I learned to fly on N48270 and N90885.
Issues: One of the buildings I use is a bit broken and the canopy distorts when you get close to it. I've reported the issue and Asobo has acknowledged the problem. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.

v4.0 - 06/18/2023 - Major update: Modified the taxi network to match updated Bing data and completely redid the aprons. A long time ago I added all the taxi lights when Asobo fixed those. Replaced some hangar buildings (there's still a couple hangars that are using the bad model from Asobo, but it doesn't look quite so bad now). Redid the fencing all around the airport using the Vector Placement tool they added to the Scenery Editor. Added TONS more details to the airport. Enjoy.
v2.2.1 12/6/2020 - Added a couple flattens to remove some new hills that were added under the hangars in a couple of locations. Modified a hangar on the south side of the field. Added the LWcfg file back in as Asobo fixed their bug.
v2.2.0 11/06/2020 - *MAJOR UPDATE* A bug was introduced in v10.7.0/10.8.0 with the living world config subsystem which causes a CTD if you start at an airport other than KASH pretty much anywhere in at least the Eastern US and Canada. Removing the section assocated with the KASH_LWcfg.xml file from the layout.json will stop the CTD. This release does that, so you can just delete the old install and replace it with this. Unfortunately, it means there will likely be vehicles that normally aren't on the airport driving around.
v2.1.1 10/18/2020 - Minor revision, edited and properly sized the taxiway signs (I forgot the brackets for the surround around the location), and fixed the signs over by 14 to match what is actually there. Added lighting over by the tower shining on the apron, added another vehicle parking space where fuel trucks typically park in front of the hangar next to the hangar with the restaurant. I haven't confirmed with the airport authorities, but I extended Taxiway Frank to connect with Charlie by passing along the taxiway in front of the tower. I extended Taxiway Charlie along the taxiway in front of the North Hangars all the way to Echo. Added most of the rest of fencing, including gates (which I don't imagine work). Added the windsock over the Midfield Cafe
v2.0 10/15/2020 - This is a major revision of my previous release. It's still the same buildings as rev 1, but I completely redid the runways, taxiways, and painted lines, I added all the parking spot on the tarmac as well as nearly 150 spots to spawn from/AI; replaced/added fuel stations and redid the runway, landing, and taxi lighting.. There hasn't been a VASI on 32 in maybe 10-15 years, they replaced it with PAPI when they redid the runways, fixed that. I added all the taxiway signs I'm aware of, I redid the ambient traffic and got rid of the pushbacks and vehicles that you'd never see at this airport, and greatly reduced the ambient traffic. I also added the current IFR Approaches which were for some reason forgotten for this airport, even though airports of similar size and traffic density in the immediate area have their approaches. I've added some fencing, there's more to be added. I'll be working on getting back into the air starting this Friday, so I'll have greater access to the grounds to get even more detail going forward. It's not finished to my own expectations, but it's many times over improved in my estimation over the default. Expect to see further improvements over time (maybe I'll figure out how to import Google Maps 3D assets?).
To Install, delete the original version if you have it and drop the directory in the zip file into the Community directory.

I also created some paints for the DWC C-172's, too. Someday I might get to the Mooney, Seminole and CAP-10's

Yeah, it's an Asobo thing. They wrecked one of their own objects and haven't fixed it yet.

Will you make it compatible with SU5/WU6 ? 😊 ? Is it ?

It is. I do have an update to upload soon, though, I added all the taxi lighting and some more features. One more thing to check next time I'm up there before I release it.

Love it! I worked at Daniel Webster College for many years and watched the students leaving and arriving at Boire Field. Nice job.

Thanks! I taught Materials Science and Structure Mechanics at DW for a couple of years around 2007 :)
I owned a plane there for years, and looking to purchase another.
I noticed a whole lot of activity at DW the other day.

Nashua has a special place in my logbook. It was my first "Arrived Alive" endorsement. I flew from KBED my home airport.
Any chance you have fond memories of KBTV?

If you delete those lines, it should cure the CTD.
Thanks!
