Hello everyone!
This is PantherConsult, I've created an Excel Spreadsheet that keeps track of your addons. Yeah, I know...there are several out there that do a very good job at this already! But, my excel database is simplified somewhat that anyone can use it! Each column is available for sorting, there is no one way to enter data for any of the fields, it's all up to you on you how you want to be able to find what you are looking for when sorting your data. I made this as it was easier for me to find out what addons I installed on my computer, when, from where, by who, etc...
I will occasionally update this file with a newer version, there may be added fields within the cells themselves as well as rows and columns. Updates may look the same but with a completely different functionality, in which case it may be necessary to either copy your current database into the newer update or a macro will be provided to do the update for you. Haven't really figured out quite yet on which will be easier.
*** NOTE:
These updates will require you to be able to do some fairly easy things in Excel, hopefully you're comfortable with the Microsoft application to where you will be able to accomplish this. I will; however, also include instruction on how to impliment the upgrade as detailed as I can, again...you must have a basic knowledge of the application in order to be able to execute the upgrade effectively.
There are many different ways you can use this database, and...by changing the column names your database can take on a whole new look! Try it out and let me know how you like it, you can can also pass it on to anyone you like!
PLEASE, remember to rate, like, emoji my database any way you like. Tell me what you like about it or what you don't like about it, and what you'd like to see what other functions the database could have or should have...and I make no promises but will take every suggestion into consideration.
Thanks for downloading the database, and ENJOY!
NOTE: PREVIOUS UPLOAD (COMPREHENSIVE LIST OF WORLD - WIDE AIRPORTS)
This is a mid-process modification of the previous Excel Databse, this database has over 2000 Airports already added to the database. All you have to do is add other cell information, if you want to add a scenery airport 1) search the database 2)...and if not already included add it 3)...and if already in the database modify it as you wish.
I will leave the previous post online for those of you who want to add your own airports, if downloads trickle to a STOP on the first upload I will give time for people who would like to save a copy for themselves until I take it offline.
SIDE NOTE:
I will be releasing an Access Database to where you can keep detailed information about your downloads: Aircraft, Sceneries, Aircraft Enhancements, Scenery Enhancements, etc. Be on the lookout for this Database within the next few months!

Good start, but a little too little, too late, as far as I'm concerned.
There's a tool called MFS Addon Collector which is tabulating most of what you are planning on doing, and includes more, in that it is a full addon manager.
Have a look at it at https://flightsim.to/file/8349/mfs-addon-locator, and perhaps download and install it, to see what it is all about.
You don't have to try to use it, but you'll see just how much information Shay is collecting - automatically every time you add an addon - already.
For every addon he includes details of the developer, ICAO code (if appropriate), archetype (small, regional etc airport), continent / country / state for all scenery, date created, date installed and a host of other information. Even the version number installed - automatically. The tool also allows you to select just which add-ons you want to have running for a particular FS session, simply by adding an X in a box alongside each addon you want to see.
If you can still see a good reason to keep going, you might consider contacting Shay - the tool includes tables with much of the information that you will want to see already, and his tables are quite up-to-date. For instance, - 70,000+ airports are included, plus a simple listing of all aircraft that are currently available for the sim.
You never know, he just may give you permission to use his material, which he has spent long hours collecting.
I'm not trying to dissuade you in your enterprise - just trying to point out a couple of alternate approaches, either using Shay's work instead, or getting permission, and acknowledging that permission, as a source for your own work.

Hello!
Thank you for your comments, I do appreciate the constructive criticism and if you'll notice at the beginning of my description I have mentioned that there are other options out there that people have a choice of choosing.
But, I have talked to many people and have found out that they don't want something like that and would rather have a simpler tool in which to manage their addons. I give them that, something simpler and easier. Again, thanks for your comments!
