Tecnam P92 Echo (ROTAX 912UL 80Hp engine)

The Tecnam P92 Echo is a twin seat Italian aircraft, made by Tecnam based in Capua and sold in several countries of the world. It is single engine aircraft with a strut-braced rectangular high wing, fixed main landing gear and steerable nose wheel

The model has a fully animated realistic 3D cockpit (with some gauges taken from standard airplanes) for ultralight version (airspeed in Km/h and RPM for engine), animated central steering gear and opening doors (clicking on the lever). A fully working Breakers panel is also available

The GPS Aera 510 is shown by default but it can be switched with the GTN750 (if installed) with autopilot enabled features (only for Premium version)

Three hotspot screws (in the center of the cockpit) can be used to hide the co-pilot, the VOR gauge and the glass cockpit, the fourth is used to switch between the GPS Aera 510 and the GTN750 (https://pms50.com/msfs/). Another hotspot screw is below the Panel light switch to cycle between different gauge lighting levels

A fully interactive checklist, developed following the official manual (version October ‘98) included in the package, is also available

It comes with three liveries, one basic white and another with the Genoa Football Club official colors and I-GEFC registration number (both are also available in the Painkit folder as a base for custom liveries development), the last one called “Africa” (credits to donfanucci)

Il modello include un realistico pannello 3D completamente animato (con alcuni strumenti presi da aerei standard) per la versione ultraleggera (anemometro in Km/h e RPM per il motore), il carrello centrale sterzante e le porte apribili (cliccando sulla maniglia). È anche disponibile un pannello Breaker completamente funzionante

È presente di default il GPS Aera 510 ma può essere sostituito con il GTN750 (se installato) con abilitate funzionalità di autopilota (solo per la versione Premium)

Tre hotspot rappresentati da delle viti poste in centro al pannello strumenti permettono di nascondere il co-pilota, lo strumento VOR e il glass-cockpit, il quarto hotspot è usato per passare dal GPS Aera 510 al GTN750 (https://pms50.com/msfs/). Un ulteriore hotspot è presente sotto lo switch delle Luci pannello per alternare i diversi livelli di luminosità degli strumenti

È inoltre disponibile una completa checklist interattiva, basata sul manuale di volo ufficiale (versione Ottobre ’98) incluso nel pacchetto

Viene fornito con tre livree, una di base bianca ed una con i colori ufficiali del Genoa Football Club e sigla registrazione I-GEFC (entrambe sono disponibili nella directory Paintkit come base per lo sviluppo di livree custom), ed infine una denominata “Africa” (grazie a donfanucci)

Non sto più riuscendo ad utilizzarlo

L'ho aggiornato oggi dopo un pò di tempo che non lo usavo, ed ho un problema all'accensione

se non metto la manetta la massimo, l'aereo non parte, ed una volta che accendo il motore(con la manetta la massimo) l'aereo rimane al minimo e non posso accelerare; se abbasso la manetta si spegne

Sto sbagliando qualcosa io?

Congrats and well done on a great recreation of the P92. I fly one IRL and this is very close to that aircraft in performance and handling. I have even suggested to some of my students to use it to practice prior to our training flights to learn the basics which makes time in the air much more effective and efficient for them. Definitely worth a donation.

Hi thanks for your great work on this aircraft.

i checked the rpm drop with turning off each magneto in turn and it was as expected about 50 to 100 rpm. However when i tested the carb heat ( de ice for carburettor ) it was about 1000 rpm which is way too much.

Also i could not grab and move the carb heat knob on the screen. I operated it using the control on my hardware panel. This control is mapped to the 0 to 100% axis for carb heat , maybe this is the reason for the extra large rpm drop.

Otherwise i really like this ac , i fly the sierra p2003 , and your p92 is the nearest to the sierra there is!

Congratulations on a great aircraft! This is the plane that I fly in real life. I have one request: please consider increasing the drag. The aircraft does not slow down fast enough when power is reduced and in the flare for landing and the glide performance is too good. Otherwise, great job!

Buongiorno ho riscontrato un cg secondo me fuori si riesce a decollare ma il muso sembra molto leggero in partenza come se l'aereo volesse alzarsi poggiando sulla coda . Infatti una volta consumato il carburante e si atterra il velivolo non appena si ferma si impenna toccando con la coda. Per tt il resto complimenti .

Hi, many thanks I love the aircraft. Regarding the GTN750 addition, I read there would be an Autopilot also, however it is just the GTN750 that shows up, when selected, and no Autopilot. I am thinking of longer flights 😉) Thanks once again, great job.

After the release of the payware version, the old GA got removed and we are left with a old ULM version. The handling and flight model is good but the rest has major room for improvement. The outside model is not really very detailed but the interior model is worse, with a low poly pointy canopy that can be seen on the inside and various weird effects on the panel. This began as a very good freeware but diverted as a money grabbing payware...

Hi, the freeware version is still there as I just removed the GA version having only two different gauges (but the same exterior and interior characteristics). Anyway I don't understand why you say the freeware was very good and at the same time your comment is so bad. Moreover I had sponsors really supporting it and I should thank them helping me to continue to improve its quality

Molto strano, non ho ricevuto nessuna segnalazione al riguardo e io lo uso senza problemi. Inoltre non ho effettuato modifiche tali nelle ultime release da giustificare un problema del genere. Puoi controllare di non avere delle periferiche che in qualche modo interferiscono con il controllo della manetta ?

Hi, thanks for your comment. There are (as you have figured out) hotspot screws (below the transponder) that can be used to hide the copilot, the VOR1 gauge and the glass cockpit effect

Sorry, but I just watched AvAngel's YouTube review of the payware version (EUR 24 on Simmarket!!), and I was shocked to see that almost nothing has been added, to justify the very high price. The only real noticible thing being the 100hp engine (which is only one 2 second change in the engines.cfg file!). I've gone from having huge respect for you for releasing this place as freeware, to feeling that - with your partnership with Aerosachs - the payware version represents really poor value for money. The textures are good for freeware. For payware, they are nowhere near up to standard. It's using default sounds, has no tablet or configuration device. There are no sounds when opening the doors, etc, etc. It just is not payware quality - especially not at 24 Euros! What a sell out.

Hi, it's a pity you should not consider it worthwhile for the purchase. If you prefer to stay with the freeware version (that obvioulsy will not benefit of future updates) you can defintely do that, I'm just curious to know if you ever considered to make a donation to have this project continue to be free

Updated aircraft geometry and aerodynamics following official Tecnam Flight Manual revision 2008
Hotspot to change Airspeed, RPM, Flap guauges indicator during the flight (selection saved between flights)
New Flap gauge indicator
Improved propeller and landing gear animations
Added choke command (also in the checklist)
Improved 3D model to allow more sophisticated liveries (like the provided Aerosachs one)
New default Tecnam Blue and White livery
PDF Handbook

Meanwhile a new release will be published by end of this week with more additions (better texturing, added KAP 140 autopilot, etc.) and fixes

Ciao. Come ho indicato nelle release note la versione freeware sarà dedicata alla versione Ultralight (Anemometro in KM e RPM del motore) mentre per avere la nuova variante Classic General Aviation bisognerà fare una donazione di almeno 15€
