This is one of the more unique legacy skins from the 70's for the F-14. The squadron was deactivated long ago but recently listening to the F-14 Tomcast (Podcast), I heard the interview from one of the guests was a former F-14 Pilot (retired Navy CAPTAIN Sam "Slammer" Richardson") whose first F-14 Squadron was the Aardvarks out of Miramar California. He mentioned how they had orange flightsuits.
This got me motivated to update one of my earliest skins for the DC Design F-14. This is essentially a new skin with many updates, including weathering and of course, those orange flightsuits. Pilot name as well as RIO names are those of actual Naval flyers who flew the F-14.
Gotta love the Navy and the unique squadron cultures.
As always, Go Navy!
The matte finish looks amazing and the orange flightsuits are so cool. On a sidenote, thanks for the tip about Tomcast. I've never heard of it before, listening now as I fly your new livery. Cheers!

Thanks once again for the kind words. I love the Tomcast. BTW, listen to the episode called "Flying the Tomcat" - the guest is Slammer Richardson who's first squadron was VF-114 (hence this livery). Also, I recommend the Fighter Pilot Podcast with Jello.

Very nice, Love it! Since the F-14D isn't out, Can you do BuNo.163894 NE 100 of VF-2 'Bounty Hunters for the F-14B?

Yeah, I've been wanting to work on that for a while. I can add it to the list but probably another 2-3 weeks before I get to it.

I hate the white flaps on the wings but that aircraft is excellent
