Thank you for downloading this Loganair livery for the Aerosoft DHC-6 Twin Otter. Make sure you have the aircraft purchased and installed from the Aerosoft website or MSFS Marketplace.

Installation:
- Head to your Microsoft Flight Simulator directory and go inside the Community folder. You can find this folder at 'Microsoft Flight Simulator\Community'.
- Drag and drop the 'aerosoft-aircraft-twin-otter-loganair-drawyah' folder into the Community folder. DO NOT insert into the 'aerosoft-aircraft-twin-otter' folder.
- Load up Microsoft Flight Simulator and select the DHC-6-300 Twin Otter PAX variant, the Loganair livery should now appear in the selection menu.

Without the official painkit, how did you manage the layer (map) for the metallic parts (engines exhaust...) ?

It's mainly a case of using Blander to paint your livery on top of one of the already existing ones the aircraft comes with, then painting white any of the original that 'leaks' through your own design. A tedious process, but lets you preserve the original work of Aerosoft for finer details and changing what you want added to the plane.

Hello from Sweden. I see your Logan Air work and would really appreciate to have a SWEDAIR DHC-6 300 livery since I have flown those IRL for approx.5000 hrs. in the 70:s and 80:s. Latest years on Scandinavias shortest route between Malmoe and Copenhagen for Scandinavian Airlines. Great fun aircraft to operate.

I flew on SE-GEC from Copenhagen to Malmo in 1977....wonder if you operated that!

(mind you, in fog all the way so didn't see anything other than runways!)

Hello again,

Probably, since I was one of the 4 captains from SWEDAII stationed in Malmoe at that time. 😊

A lot of fun to fly the Otters with some very special arrangements by ATC in Copenhagen. We used to land on mostly RWY 30 to stop 300 meters before the intersection with 22L. No problem to do so but once a JAL B747 on short approach for 22L saw our landing lights and was scared off for a expensive go-around😊 In low ceinlings and low visibility (550 meters) we were radar vectored to 04 or 22 to short final and there made a 90 degree turn to the runway. Very efficient handling of our flights at Copenhagen by the Danish ATC.

I really hope that you can get some time to make the SWEDAIR livery - requested on Flightsim.to. so I can fly the ESMS-EKCH route again for fun in FS2020 VR.

I've been looking into fixing it, and might have to wait on some updates to the SDK to do it right... More detail, more custom geo, better LODs are a no brainer - but getting the beach surface correct, and adding a ton of puddles ( that won't kill you like the ocean plane that used to clip through the beach ) be able to generate spray and splashes from the puddles. More accurate beach shape / waterline would be good too.

yes, you've nailed what needs doing here. Superspud always does a great job, but I think was frustrated with this airport. The beach is rarely water free. When we flew in in 2019, there was quite a bit of water lying around on landing, and we taxied out through 'inches' of water to use the runway we did. So I'd welcome water anywhere realistic that is possible to add.

I think that's the key to making Barra exciting in the game... standing puddles all over the beach, water spray everywhere, drops splashing up on the windscreen, etc...

on a side note - IRL, is it just a spotter's trip, or is the island worth a weekend of hiking about?

I spent two night at Barra. Of course I watched some landings and taking offs, otherwise there's not a whole lot else out there. Castlebay is a nice little town, a well-stocked Co-op. If you enjoy walking and hills then climb up Heavel and have a look from the top of the peak. Here's a photo album from when I went.

It's a pity that HIAL is a -400 not -300 AND that Aerosoft are not going to model the -400 at all it seems. Still, a nice (no, GREAT) job on the paint scheme

-400 version for me is so boring because of the glass cockpit - if i want that than i take the Grand Caravan. The livery is super! Thank you for that - just did a flight from Glasgow to Barra like the real connection.

You could also have the common decency to be kind, polite, appreciative, and you could understand that nobody OWES you anything and these paints are free gifts. If you see errors or you'd like something different, you could consider asking politely, appreciating that someone spent their time making something for the community for free. It's not that you have additional requests or constructive criticism, it's about your demanding, insulting, and entitled attitude in your posts. Perhaps English isn't your first language and you don't realize how you're coming across? Giving you the benefit of the doubt...

the registration should be higher, and the letters slightly thicker.

The inscription on the bow should be bigger.

The rest I will look at later

It's pretty accurate. The front Sinage is about right and the numbering is fine. spot on infact. I'll take a photograph when I fly her to barra tomorrow 😚📸
