F-14A Tomcat BUNO 158616 Patuxent River circa 1974

This livery was requested by retired USN Chief Petty Officer Pete Ward. In 1974, as a 3rd Class Petty Officer, Pete was fortunate to get a 3.5 hour long back seat ride in F-14A  (Buno 1586160, while stationed at NATC (Naval Air Test Center) Patuxent River, MD. The pilot for that flight was LT. Curtis R."DosO" Dosé, a USN Test Pilot, who conducted numerous tests in new weapons/aircraft configurations for F-8 Crusader and F-14 Tomcat aircraft. 

During the Vietnam war, Curtis R. Dosé, Commander, USN Ret. (a Silver Star recipient) shot down a MIG-21MF.
